First of Two TV Interviews
i'm going to be on the manhattan neighborhood network on friday, october 8th at 2:30 pm, channel 34. if you don't live in nyc, but still want to tune in go here and click on the channel 34 tv icon for a live stream.
this is part one of a two-part interview i did last month at the time warner studio out in queens. in this episode you'll see me make funny, nervous little faces and pull at my earlobe a lot. you'll also see me talk about my not so wild, but certainly crazy life during my 20s, and what it was like to live in a rat-infested basement apartment in soho where i had to surround my bed with large glue traps just to obtain a decent night's sleep. i didn't mention it on camera, but sometimes the glue traps worked, and sometimes they just didn't. one morning, true story, i was awakened by one of the baby rats nibbling on my big toe.
certainly worth tuning in for, wouldn't you say?
the next episode, which will air in january next year, timed with the release of my novel, behind everyman, is even worthier.
i'll post the air date as soon as i have it.
if you miss october 8th, the show will re-run on november 5th, also at 2:30 pm.

always loved those countdown doodads

Kinja
there's a nice news portal out there called kinja. they're like an online colander, sorting through hundreds of other sites, straining out the rat-a-tat, picking out their favorite stories, newsworthy pieces, etc., editing, parsing it down so you don't have to.
seems my latest newyorkish.com piece made the cut. check it out here.

anyway, glacier-size troughs of gratitude to everyone at newyorkish for the support. and i mean it.
